Serving Size: Serves 6  

Directions:
1 Cut up and soak salted meat to remove excess salt.

2 Put all meats in water. Bring to the boil, add gungo peas and boil until almost cooked.

3 Add Yam, potatoes, dumplings, Thyme, Escallion and green pepper.

4 Simmer uncovered until soup is thickened about 30 minutes.

  • 1 lb. stewing steak
  • ½ pickled pig's tail or other salted beef, ham or ham bone
  • 2 qt. water
  • 1 lb. yellow yam
  • ½ lb. sweet potatoes
  • dumplings
  • escallion
  • green pepper
  • thyme
